IKEA Pine Dresser Turned Mid Century Modern West Elm Knock Off
This beautiful bedroom dresser is actually an IKEA hack by Kristina Lyne. She had her eye on a beautiful West Elm dresser, but just could stomach spending the money on it. Kristina and I are totally on the same wave length, why spend more for something that you can make yourself?! After purchasing this TARVA pine IKEA dresser she painted and stained it to suit her look. She even created her own DIY mid century leg. Great IKEA dresser hack!
A Fun Hack For The IKEA MALM Dresser
I’m totally loving this fun DIY take on the IKEA MALM dresser. This has got to be one of my favorite IKEA dresser hacks. The handmade wood drawer pulls are absolute genius, and the touch of gold brings a bit of glam to this set of drawers. The feet, from Pretty Pegs, add about 4″ in height which I love! Tall dressers tend to look more expensive. Check out the full tutorial here.

Black HEMNES Dresser With Leather Drawer Pulls
Is it just me, or is black totally having a moment right now? I’m loving everything black and I think its going to be huge in the next few years. Which brings me to this IKEA dresser hack! This HEMNES dresser was painted black (which I absolutely love) AND it got custom drawer pulls. The look of the leather pull against the black is spot on.
PRO TIP: The leather pulls they used can easily be made by purchasing these from IKEA.
Painted Dresser With DIY Dowel Hardware
Guys, THIS is my color. I’m a sucker for anything in that beautiful blueish greenish grey. It stands out in this bedroom and the painted white dowels pop against that beautiful color. Jenny made this dresser for her one room challenge. Check out the full tutorial here (its a good one) and explains how she made the custom drawer pull with a dowel and copper pipe!
Pattern Play IKEA Hack
Here’s another killer IKEA hack using the Tarva dresser. You all know I’m a sucker for pattern, and this one is no exception! Erin stepped up her pattern game by using a wood overlay by O’verlays. It totally elevates the final look of her DIY and makes this dresser look SO expensive. The white, grey, and gold color combo is working wonders in her son’s bedroom. Check out the full tutorial she put together here! I’ve never thought of using overlays before, but now I think I’ve got to give it a try!
Black And White Modern Hack
I am loving the black and white modern drama going on in this dresser makeover by Amanda. She took a plane jane MALM dresser and hacked her way to perfection. Adding a modern foot, black accents, and a sleek modern drawer pull gave this dresser a much needed face lift. Check out her blog and the full tutorial here.
Peel And Stick IKEA Hack
Feeling overwhelmed by all these complicated IKEA hacks? Then this is the project for you! For under $70 you can buy these removable and reusable stickers made specifically for the IKEA MALM dresser. It doesn’t get much easier than that! Etsy shop Stickers Coloray has a handful to choose from, but this floral is my favorite. How adorable would that be in a girl’s bedroom?
DIY Antique Painters Cabinet
Isn’t this antique painters cabinet just the best? Rachel over at Maison de Pax turned a super modern looking IKEA dresser and turned it into this vintage inspired dresser. She made that faux drawer front by using her compact circular saw and adding library pulls. You’d never know this 9 drawer dresser is actually only 3! Check out the full DIY tutorial on her blog!
