DIY Outdoor Decor Shelf
These cute little hexagon wall planters are the perfect DIY outdoor décor item. They will instantly elevate the look of your patio. My imagination is running wild right now with the unlimited options for these little wall shelves. Planting a drooping plant like string of pearls or a small ivy plant would be adorable. You could even just throw a candle in there for a little ambient lighting. Loving all the options with this outdoor wall shelf.
DIY Backyard Canopy
OK now THIS is a million dollar idea people! Make your own retractable canopy with sail fabric and PVC pipe! This DIY retractable screen is pure genius. It looks super expensive, but will actually save you a ton of money. Check out the full tutorial found on HGTV’s here.
Updated House Numbers
Another great idea to spruce up your outdoor space is updating your house numbers. A modern number sign is an eye-catching update that will have the envy of all your neighbors. Its funny how a simple change can have such a big impact! Shades of Blue Interiors put together a tutorial on how to make this DIY number sign. How adorable is it with a little planter box beneath? Great outdoor decor idea.
DIY Outdoor Privacy Screen
I am loving the vibe of this DIY outdoor privacy screen. You can easily make this divide with some recycled pallets. The string lights and hanging plants create a wonderful ambient setting. I’m already picturing myself sitting out here sipping on a glass of wine on a warm summer evening. How perfect does that sound?
Recycled Tire Ottoman
Finally a use for those old tires you have kicking around the garage! Sorry kids there wont be a new tire swing this year! Recycle your old car tires into trendy outdoor ottomans by covering them with rope. An easy inexpensive way to add additional outdoor seating (no one likes those cheap plastic outdoor chairs anyways). Style Me Pretty has put together a wonderful tutorial on how to make these ottomans. Check it out!

DIY Stock Tank Pool
Uhm, excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor! This whole backyard situation is gorgeous! OK don’t judge me, but I’ve never even heard of stock tank pools until I read Sun Woven Studio‘s blog post on how she made one last summer. Now I think I need one. Not want, NEED! Her tutorial even shows how to cut a hole in the side and install a pump/filter which is super important. We’ve all seen those cheap plastic pools that turn into algae cesspools…not a cute look….Anyways I fully recommend installing a pump to avoid that situation.

I have several old tires that have the metal center gone. I would have to pay for the disposal. BUT,!!!, but now I don’t have to pay. Thank you for your ideas. Sincerely, Cora Lee
