The easiest way to transform a boring living room has to be adding built-in bookcases to either side of a fireplace. Built-in’s add storage space and offer a platform to display your treasured home decor items. Aniko, of Place Of My Taste created a beautiful living room by painting her fireplace and creating her own IKEA hack. Using two billy bookcases and a bit of extra trim, she created custom built in shelving. And it looks fantastic! I love the added touch of adding vertical dividers. It’s the perfect amount of flair!
