IKEA Built-in Hack For Entryway Storage

Living in a small apartment myself, I envy homes with enough space for a proper front entry. Interior designer Jenny from Juniper Home took full advantage of this large space and created the perfect mudroom. She designed this custom mudroom fit with two tall storage wardrobes and a custom bench. Using two IKEA Pax wardrobes, her builder created a built-in look by installing a crown molding, a custom bench, and a shiplap feature wall. The outcome is a beautiful entryway that flows seamlessly with the rest of the house.

DIY Built-in Media Cabinets

This basement media room is what movie night is all about! Chris and Julia built this whole entertainment center themselves, down to all the electrical work and framing! My hat is off to you two for going the extra mile with shiplap. Continuing the shiplap throughout the back of the shelf is no joke! While they made almost everything themselves, they used a IKEA door fronts for the floating storage. IKEA door fronts are always a no-brainer, especially when paired with antique brass hardware. I am loving this IKEA built-in hack.

Bedroom IKEA Storage Hack With Custom Built-ins

This is the perfect IKEA built-in hack for the bedroom. There are two things a bedroom MUST have – a window, and a closet. But what if your bedroom doesn’t have a closet? You make one! Gemma from the Sweetest Diggs did just that! Her bedroom desperately needed a closet, so she used an IKEA wardrobe and hacked her own built-in! Using the IKEA PAX system, she enclosed the wardrobe with drywall to fit seamlessly in her room. By painting the IKEA built-ins to match the wall color, you’d think it had always been there. I love this IKEA built-in hack by And Christina. Using the IKEA PAX wardrobe system, she added an L shaped closet to her dressing room. She finished this high-end look with custom gold hardware, wood cubbies (painted white to match), and a baseboard to finish it all off. The result is stunning and easily one of my favorite IKEA built-in hacks. Now I feel like everyone should have their own dressing room! What a great use of space!
