Laundry Room Design Ideas That Actually Look Good
Laundry rooms are notorious for having a poor design style, but not today! Today I’m going to walk you through some amazing laundry room design ideas that actually look good. These beautifully designed laundry rooms are what dreams are made of. This post is full of fun design ideas like colorful cabinetry, patterned wallpaper, and creative laundry room floor plans to consider.
Hidden Laundry Machine Design Idea
This is a clever idea thats popping up all over the internet and I’m totally in love. Hide your unsightly laundry machines behind a DIY cane cabinet! Cane is the perfect material because its breathable and your machines won’t overheat. This is a great idea if you have older machines you might want to hide, or if your washer and dryer happen to be in a multi use room. If you’ve read my blog post, IKEA hacks using cane, you’ll know I’m a big fan of this woven material but I’ve never thought to use it this way. You can thank the genius over at Gather House for this inspiring hallway laundry room cane cabinetry! Seriously love this laundry rooms soothing aesthetic.

I can’t even handle how much I adore this laundry room by Joinery & Design Co! I am a big fan of contrasting colors and this deep green backsplash paired with oak mill work is a dream! The devil is in the details for this laundry room design. It’s clear that they went the extra mile with a herringbone tile pattern and an apron sink. I even love the added touch of matching the sink faucet finish to the washer and dryer.

Green is a popular accent color and I hope it sticks around for a while! Rebecca Genevieve really did a fantastic job with this laundry room thats anything but boring!
Pretty Pink Laundry Room Design
Ok now THIS is what I call a fun laundry room! The pink wainscotting is so vibrant and energetic. Just the motivation I’d need to get off my butt and do some laundry! Vanessa Francis re-did her laundry room as part of the one room challenge and boy did she rise to the occasion! Love this laundry room and all its modern farmhouse touches.

I just adore this laundry room by At Home With Ashley. Not only did she create a cheerful colorful laundry room oasis, they also completely renovated this space. I’m taking raised the ceiling, painted the floor, AND in the process had to re-build an entire exterior wall! Renovations don’t always go to plan, but with a vision as bright as this one I’m sure it was easy to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Robins egg blue is a popular color that just screams french country farmhouse. I adore the blue cabinet color paired with that checkered floor, glossy white subway tile and warm oak floating shelves. This laundry room design is by Leighanna LaMarre Interiors, check out her other projects on Houzz!
